ABOUT THE EVENT /
The second annual State of the Environment Conference seeks to address changes to environmental policy and associated impacts under the current administration. This conference aims to raise awareness and provide actionable solutions through a day-long program including esteemed keynote speakers, targeted panel discussions, networking and more. The Conference will close with a screening of the film The Need to Grow, followed by Q & A with the film's producers. Conference participants will have the opportunity to learn about available resources and network with potential employers, policy makers and influencers.
At the heart of this dynamic event will be a moderated panel that will bring a diverse group of environmental leaders, plant-based champions, policymakers, scientist, students and community members to the CSULB campus to engage in proactive discussions focused on the theme: Food Systems, Activism and Policy.
The first 25 in attendance will receive a limited edition State of the Environment Conference tote bag filled with sustainable goodies. All participants will have the opportunity to win sustainable prizes through an opportunity drawing. Attendees that bring their own water bottle and/or coffee thermos will receive an extra raffle ticket for the drawings.
During the lunch break there will be a special performance by Tongva singer songwriter Kelly Caballero and free vegan tacos catered by Taco Sin Karma (while supplies last).
